Yes! Courts, Insurance Companies, Financial Institutions, Governmental Agencies and Individuals prefer appraisals to be IACPSM Certified as a minimum. Certification along with the NADA ensures trust.
Are there any daily appraisal assignments available to BOCAA members?
Yes! The Beaureau of Certified Auto Appraisers (BOCAA) is regularly contacted by a variety of employers who are seeking qualified, IACPSM Certified Appraisers to handle claims including: Total Loss, Damage Estimates, Court Expert Witness / Testimony, Divorce / Community Property Valuations, Automotive Legal Assistance, Auto Accident Reconstruction, Insurance Policy Appraisals, Classic Car Appraisals, Pre-Purchase Auto Inspections, Bank Loan & Credit Union Loan Appraisals, Business Mergers, Bankruptcy Appraisals, and Actual Cash Value (ACV) Appraisals.
Daily Appraisal Assignments Include valuation and inspection of the following:
New / Used Cars & Trucks, Classic, Collectible & Special Interest Autos, Commercial Vehicles, Farm Equipment, Boats, Motorcycles, Aircraft, Recreation Vehicles (RV's), Manufactured Homes, Vans / Truck Conversions & Limousines and providing the IACPSM Certified Appraised Value, Clear Photos and the NADA valuation.
How long does it take to become certified?
One of the many benefits to becoming a member of BOCAA is our certification process. The courses and final exam are offered through our secured website, allowing all aspects of certification to be completed from the comforts of your own home and at your own pace. Once the successful candidate passes the final exam with a 70% or higher, He or She will automatically receive status confirmation and the Bureau will send you the official IACPSM certification number and a wall certificate for you to hang up in your place of business.
Will I receive any additional support from BOCAA after becoming a member?
Yes! BOCAA offers assistance with appraisal questions and issues that you “will” encounter out in the field. Once you contact us with your specific appraisal situation, one of our appraisal specialists will respond to you within a 24 hour timeframe.
Is it necessary to become a BOCAA member to obtain access to available appraisal job opportunities?
Yes! BOCAA only entrusts our paying members who have received appropriate appraisal education and certification to have access to potential employment opportunities. The reputation of the Bureau of Certified Marine Surveyors and the standards we require of the members we recommend are why our clients seek our IACPSM Certified members first!
